Emma's transcription of the 16C Will of a former resident of our house was first class, combining scholarship with speed. the comprehensive footnotes were invaluable and we were delighted with the result - all-in-all an exemplary service that we would thoroughly recommend.
Emma has produced two excellent transcriptions of wills for me dating from 1579 & 1598.
The attention to detail and the additional notes she adds also gave me a greater insight into life over 400 years ago.
The best part of this exercise was finding out the names of some of my ancestors she found within the text
I would highly recommend Emma for any work that you need doing regarding the transcription of historical documents.
The fees that she charges are very reasonable
Emma was able to transcribe a very blotched will dated 1670 for me. She completed it very quickly and was able to add some extra helpful information. Well worth the price that she charged. I would commend her to anyone requiring this type of service
I needed to have my 2nd great-grandfather’s deed from 1892 transcribed. It was difficult to figure out how to do so successfully. I tried an online AI-type service with very poor results.
But I’m so glad I found Historical Document Transcription Services by continuing my Google search. Working with Emma was a great experience! She is a skilled and trained professional.
Emma was straightforward from the start with her pricing and let me know what to expect throughout the process.
The project was completed quickly and efficiently. A bonus is that her services were very affordable.
I'm ecstatic to have this historical link to my family. Her work went above and beyond my expectations. I couldn’t be more pleased with the final product. I would highly recommend her services!!!!!
Emma transcribed the testimony written in the 19th century for me. I greatly appreciate her excellent work. I wanted to know what the residents said about an incident then and was struggling to read many parts of the testimony. With her great help, I now have a much better understanding of what they said. I find it very helpful for my research!
Emma has been extremely kind and speedy in helping me decipher the very complicated secretary hand used by clerks and other bureaucratic minds during the late 15th century. The complicated nature of the language did not deter her and she came out with incredible results! Like a previous reviewer said, the duration was far less than anticipated! I also would not hesitate to contact her again!
Emma transcribed this for me in good time, with great care for the original flavour of the text and for any parts that were unreadable. She was able to correct my imperfect understanding of the writing, including the date, a useful and successful transcription - important to me, as this seems to be the only document in existence recording the marriage of two direct ancestors.
Emma undertook the transcribing of a will dated 1831 for me. Communication throughout the process was excellent, I provided the document as requested, Emma quoted me a price and she then proceeded with the work. The actual time involved was less than she had previously anticipated, and this was reflected in the cost which I thought showed a high degree of professional integrity. I have no hesitation in recommending Emma and won't hesitate to use her again.
Emma undertook to transcribe a number of different eighteenth-century documents for me that I would not have had the time to do myself. She did an excellent job; professional, accurate and courteous. A pleasure to work with, I'd highly recommend her!
Emma undertook making digital copies of records at the Warwickshire Archives as I am overseas and unable to do this myself. I had identified the required files, and Emma was very helpful and undertook the work promptly and professionally. I highly recommend Emma for any projects at the Archives Office.
